Join me for a relaxed, guided look around the labour and postnatal rooms at Hawke's Bay Hospital.
You'll get familiar with where to go when the big day arrives, see the spaces you may spend time in, find out where to grab a cuppa (and those all-important ice chips), and pick up practical tips for creating a calm, personalised birthing space that feels right for you.
This isn't just a walk-through. It's a chance to make the unfamiliar feel a little more familiar, ask questions along the way, and hopefully head home feeling more confident about what to expect.
Tours are held monthly on Saturday mornings at 10am and take approximately 45–60 minutes. Partners and support people are very welcome.
Tours are offered on a koha basis
There is no set fee for the tour. You're welcome to give what feels appropriate to you.
Your contribution helps towards the time and travel involved in making these guided tours available to Hawke's Bay families each month.
